Cormorant origins revealed

Ringing
Nationally important numbers of Cormorant arrive on the island in the autumn during post-breeding dispersal. The origins of some of these birds is now clearer with the details of a darvic ringed bird recently received. Recorded on 21st October 2007, the bird had been ringed as a nestling on Puffin Island, North Wales on 23rd June 2007.

A total of 11 Little Egret remain scattered among the tidal pools on the eastern side of the island.
