Seabirds still provide interest

14th June 2008 - bright and sunny NW3
Offshore
Morning observations (0700-0900 & 0945-1115) provided totals of 270 Sandwich Tern, 120 Gannet, 51 Common Scoter, 15 Manx Shearwater, 10 Guillemot, 5 Kittiwake, 3 Razorbill and 2 Fulmar.
Diurnal Migration
Two Swift, in off the sea, were presumably late migrants.
Waders
A flock of at least 600 Knot remain. The flock failed to contain a single "red" bird.
Miscellaneous
A rather large Red-eared Terrapin was presumably a discarded pet.
