Spotted Redshank newly arrived

Offshore
A cursory glance over the sea early evening produced 2 Shag and small numbers of Gannet and Sandwich Tern.
Grounded Migrants
The Cuckoo remains, however, sightings remain sparse with just 3 Wheatear and single Whitethroat and Sedge Warbler logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
Teal increased markedly with 77 birds recorded, waders included a newly arrived juvenile Spotted Redshank along with 3 Greeenshank and a Common Sandpiper.
Miscellaneous
Two Red-legged Partridge were perhaps the last survivors of past introductions and single Merlin and Little Egret were seen.
