16th February 2012 – sunny spells W3
Offshore
The first check over the sea for a while (0815-0915) revealed small numbers of birds on the move with 34 Common Scoter, 27 Red-breasted Merganser, 17 Kittiwake, 4 Red-throated Diver and single Razorbill and Guillemot logged.
Diurnal Migration
A skein of 150 Pink-footed Geese flew through.
Wildfowl and Waders
The female Long-tailed Duck and Goosander are still in residence and waders included 7 Greenshank and a Black-tailed Godwit.
Miscellaneous
A Little Owl, 2 Raven and several Little Egrets were logged.
