Offshore
Early morning observations in more benign conditions compared to yesterday (0600-0800) provided 210 Gannet, 94 Common Scoter, 72 Guillemot, 69 Sandwich Tern, 38 Kittiwake, 14 Razorbill, 5 Red-throated Diver, 3 Little Tern and single Arctic Skua and Puffin.
Grounded Migrants
Limited to 33 Wheatear.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included: 11 Whimbrel, 10 Golden Plover and 2 Greenshank.
Breeding Birds
A Water Rail continues to linger in suitable breeding habitat.
Butterflies and Moths
Shuttle-shaped Dart and Dog’s Tooth were new for the year.
