Manx Shearwaters on the move

Offshore
Morning observations on the rising tide (0600-0800) revealed 760 Manx Shearwater, 270 Sandwich Tern, 137 Common Scoter, 100 Guillemot, 60 Gannet, 23 Razorbill, 5 Kittiwake, 2 Puffin, 2 Shag, 2 Arctic Tern and a Little Tern.
Wildfowl and Waders
The female Long-tailed Duck remains in residence and a dark-bellied Brent Goose was unusual at this time of the year. Waders included 1110 Oystercatcher, 150 Sanderling, 2 Whimbrel and a Greenshank.
Breeding Birds
Sedge Warbler are the dominant warbler species on the island.

Another Painted Lady was logged.
