5th September 2026 – sunny spells W3/4
Offshore
A check of the sea (0630-0830) produced 1000 Common Scoter, 220 Sandwich Tern, 21 Arctic Tern, 12 Shag, 4 Arctic Skua and a Black Guillemot.
Grounded Migrants
Two Chiffchaff were amongst a sprinkling of Robin.
Diurnal Migration
A few birds were on the move with 6 Grey Wagtail, 5 Sand Martin, 2 Yellow Wagtail and a Tree Pipit logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 33 Greenshank and a Whimbrel.
Miscellaneous
A Marsh Harrier was seen and the Hooded Crow was the best of the rest.
