Willow Warbler influx

Offshore
Totals of 11 Red-throated Diver and 20 Sandwich Tern were logged along with small numbers of Red-throated Diver, Gannet and Common Scoter.
Grounded Migrants
The misty start produced a small fall involving: 35 Willow Warbler, 17 Wheatear, 3 Blackcap and single Redwing, Fieldfare and Great Tit.
Diurnal Migration
A Merlin chasing Starlings was perhaps a lingering winter bird but 10 Swallow and the first House Martin of the year flew through.
Wildfowl and Waders
The Spotted Redshank remained and a Common Sandpiper was new in.
Moths
A Red Line Quaker was new for the year.
Butterflies
A total of 25 Peacock were on the wing along with Small Tortoiseshell, Green-veined White and Small White.
