A Spoonbill flies through

Rarities
A Spoonbill circled the observatory at 0900hrs before flying off north.
Offshore
At least 3 Shag remain and morning sightings (0750-0850) included 32 Sandwich Tern, 20 Common Scoter, 17 Kittiwake, 12 Guillemot, 4 Arctic Tern, 2 Gannet and a pale phase Arctic Skua.
Grounded Migrants
Although an influx provided a total of 30 Wheatear there was nothing else of note.
Diurnal Migration
Small numbers of Swallow and House Martin continue to move through.
Wildfowl and Waders
Passage waders included 2000 Oystercatcher, 30 Sanderling, 12 Whimbrel and 5 Bar-tailed Godwit.
Moths
Small Magpie was a new addition for the year.
