Offshore
Four Shag were logged along with small numbers of Red-throated Diver, Great Crested Grebe, Common Scoter, Red-breasted Merganser, Kittiwake and Razorbill.
Grounded Migrants
The murky conditions grounded a few birds including 5 Fieldfare, 3 Goldcrest and 2 Redwing.
Diurnal Migration
Just small numbers of Meadow Pipit and Pied Wagtail were on the move.
Wildfowl and Waders
The monthly WeBS count confirmed the departure of the majority of wildfowl that wintered across the island with just 218 Shelduck, 119 Teal and 52 Wigeon seen. Waders included: 5750 Oystercatcher, 785 Redshank, 780 Golden Plover, 421 Dunlin, 400 Knot, 361 Curlew, 290 Grey Plover and a Greenshank.
Moths
The moth traps attracted the first Hebrew Character and Agonopterix yeatiana of the year.
