Offshore
An early morning check over the sea provided 30 Gannet, 12 Razorbill, 3 Red-breasted Merganser and single Shag and Red-throated Diver.
Grounded Migrants
Although 22 Robin were logged newly grounded birds were otherwise at a premium with just 6 Goldcrest, 3 Chiffchaff and a Wheatear recorded.
Diurnal Migration
The skies were alive with birds from dawn to midday with totals including 2400 Meadow Pipit, 1200 Linnet, 400 Skylark, 320 Pied/White Wagtail, 225 Swallow, 180 Pink-footed Goose, 55 Chaffinch, 50 Greenfinch, 50 Reed Bunting, 40 Tree Sparrow, 22 Magpie, 6 Siskin, 3 Grey Wagtail and single Little Egret and Great Spotted Woodpecker.
