Reeling Grasshopper Warbler

Offshore
Early morning observations (0645-0745) produced 141 Common Scoter, 14 Sandwich Tern, 3 Red-throated Diver and 2 Razorbill.
Grounded Migrants
The first Grasshopper Warbler was reeling and additional sightings included 28 Wheatear, 15 White Wagtail, 5 Willow Warbler, 2 Blackcap and a Goldcrest.
Diurnal Migration
A total of 125 Pink-footed Geese headed north while Swallow, Meadow Pipit and Pied Wagtail trickled through.
Wildfowl and Waders
The first-winter drake Long-tailed Duck remains in residence and waders included 4 Ruff and a Greenshank.
Miscellaneous
At least two Little Egret continue to linger.
Moths
Powdered Quaker was the only attraction to the moth trap.
