The daily check of the sea (0630-0730) produced 120 Sandwich Tern, 85 Common Scoter, 56 Gannet, 25 Manx Shearwater and a Guillemot.
Grounded Migrants
Single Whinchat and Willow Warbler were todays candidates for newly grounded birds.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 400 Knot, 6 Whimbrel, 5 Greenshank and single Black-tailed Godwit and Common Sandpiper.
Cetaceans
A pod of 5 Bottle-nosed Dolphin moved slowly north early morning.
Butterflies and Moths
A few Painted Lady remain and the moth trap attracted 124 of 34 species overnight, including Magpie Moth, Elephant Hawkmoth, Southern Wainscot and local speciality the rather understated Crescent Striped.
