Diurnal migration takes day off

Offshore
Observations over the sea (0730-0830) produced 230 Common Scoter, 58 Sandwich Tern, 12 Razorbill, 9 Gannet, 5 Red-throated Diver, 4 Shag, 2 Guillemot, 2 Arctic Skua and 2 Arctic Tern.
Grounded Migrants
A few birds were again on offer including 8 Wheatear, 4 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest and a Sedge Warbler.
Diurnal Migration
Just 12 Swallow were logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 2 Curlew Sandpiper and “Luke” the leucistic Curlew.
Miscellaneous
The Marsh Harrier remains.
Mammals
A Badger revealed its continued presence.
