A check of the sea produced 101 Common Scoter, 10 Shag, 8 Red-throated Diver, 4 Sandwich Tern and 2 Gannet.
Grounded Migrants
Newly arrived birds involved 10 Chiffchaff, 2 Willow Warbler and single Whitethroat and Spotted Flycatcher.
Diurnal Migration
Visible migration included 200 Meadow Pipit, 50 Swallow, 30 Pink-footed Goose, 3 Grey Wagtail, 2 Sand Martin and single Yellow Wagtail and Tree Pipit.
Miscellaneous
A first-winter Shag sheltering on the pools was unusual.
