Brent Geese continue to build

Offshore
A drier interlude (1100-1200) allowed for a check over the sea. Observations were led by single Arctic Skua and Arctic Tern amongst small numbers of Gannet, Common Scoter, Razorbill, Guillemot and Red-throated Diver.
Diurnal Migration
Despite the adverse conditions a small skein of 40 Pink-footed Geese flew through.
Wildfowl and Waders
Wildfowl are now starting to become more prominent on the salt marshes and sightings included 440 Wigeon, 35 pale-bellied Brent Geese, 6 Shoveler and a lone Pintail. Waders included 500 Golden Plover, 8 Greenshank and 4 Black-tailed Godwit.
Miscellaneous
A Little Owl sheltered from the inclement conditions.
