Observations throughout the morning on the falling tide (0745-1145) provided variety if not quantity with always something of interest to be seen. The pick of the day’s sightings was a Sooty Shearwater that flew out of Morecambe Bay at 0855hrs along with single Storm Petrel and Black Tern. Also seen were 60 Gannet, 42 Razorbill, 24 Kittiwake, 20 Common Scoter, 7 Sandwich Tern, 4 Fulmar, 4 Scaup, 3 Great Skua, 3 Guillemot, 2 Arctic Skua, 2 Manx Shearwater and 2 Arctic Tern.
