11th October 2007 - overcast then dank and dreary SW4/3
Although 7 Shag continue to linger there was little else of note visible through the gloom.
Grounded Migrants
A quiet day, the only notable sightings involved 7 Goldcrest, 4 Redwing, 4 Wheatear, 2 Blackbird and a Chiffchaff.
Diurnal Migration
Also quiet, highlights were limited to 6 Fieldfare, 2 Siskin and a Grey Wagtail.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 650 Sanderling, 400 Knot, 5 Greenshank, 2 Purple Sandpiper and the long-staying adult Spotted Redshank.
There are now 7 Little Egret roaming the island, the flock of Long-tailed Tits and Great Spotted Woodpecker remain and at least 3 Merlin and 3 Sparrowhawk hunt the island.
