Offshore
Early morning observations (0800-0900) produced 110 Common Scoter, 90 Sandwich Tern, 10 Gannet, 2 Arctic Tern and single dark phase Arctic Skua, Manx Shearwater and Razorbill.
Diurnal Migration
Hirundines continue to pour through, morning totals (0800-1100) involved 540 Swallow, 4 Sand Martin and 2 House Martin.
Grounded Migrants
Despite the early showers grounded birds were limited to a single Wheatear.
Miscellaneous
A Harbour Porpoise was offshore.
Butterflies
The first Common Blue was on the wing and a total of 16 Orange Tip would appear to be the largest number ever recorded on the island.
