A damp and dreary day with low visibility was brightened considerably by a quartet of owls. Little Owl, Barn Owl, Short-eared Owl and Long-eared Owl all appeared through the gloom. The only other notable sightings involved 2 Little Egret and two flocks of Long-tailed Tit totalling 16 birds - presumably leftovers from last autumn's unprecedented influx.
