Offshore
A check over the sea at dawn revealed a congregation of 22 Shag, along with an adult male Long-tailed Duck and 3 Red-throated Diver.
Grounded Migrants
Early morning thrushes involved 10 Redwing and 3 Song Thrush amongst a sprinkling of Blackbirds. Otherwise sightings were limited to 4 Goldcrest.
Diurnal Migration
Again variety rather than quantity with 665 Pink-footed Goose, 350 Jackdaw, 85 Starling, 15 Whooper Swan, 14 Meadow Pipit, 11 Lesser Redpoll, 10 alba Wagtail, 9 Carrion Crow, 6 Tree Sparrow, 6 Chaffinch, 5 Greenfinch, 2 Swallow, 2 Linnet and single Siskin, Brambling and Common Redpoll.
Wildfowl and Waders
The female Scaup remains and 6 Greenshank were logged.
Miscellaneous
Single Twite, Water Rail and Merlin were the best of the rest.
