8th April 2022 – bright and frosty N1
Offshore
Early morning observations (0700-0800) produced 90 Common Scoter, 24 Sandwich Tern, 12 Red-throated Diver, 10 Red-breasted Merganser, 4 Gannet and an Arctic Skua.
Grounded Migrants
Limited to a solitary Chiffchaff.
Diurnal Migration
A total of 270 Pink-footed Geese flew north.
Wildfowl and Waders
A Greenshank was the pick of the waders.
Miscellaneous
The Hooded Crow remains.
