Grounded Migrants
Cetti’s Warblers involved the singing male and a newly arrived individual while a Chiffchaff was amongst 7 Goldcrest.
Diurnal Migration
Two Brambling and 2 Redpoll were amongst 50 Chaffinch and 1030 Jackdaw were logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
The first Woodcock of the autumn was seen.
Miscellaneous
The Hooded Crow remains and 2 Water Rail and single Merlin and Peregrine were the best of the rest.
Butterflies and Moths
Migrants in the light trap involved Olive-tree Pearl while the Winter Moth was likely the last new species for the year.
