Buff-breasted Sandpiper draws a crowd!

Rarities
A juvenile Buff-breasted Sandpiper was found in flooded horse paddocks along Biggar Bank late afternoon. Please view only from the road and do not enter the private fields.
Offshore
Observations (0915-1015) produced 12 Sandwich Tern, 10 Red-throated Diver, 5 Razorbill, 4 Common Scoter and a Manx Shearwater.
Grounded Migrants
For the first day in a while there was evidence of movement with 700 Meadow Pipit to the fore along with 34 alba Wagtail, 6 Goldcrest, 4 Tree Sparrow, 4 Wheatear and single Siskin and Chiffchaff.
Diurnal Migration
A skein of 55 Pink-footed Geese headed south and 100 Meadow Pipit headed out over the sea.
Wildfowl and Waders
The first Pintail of the autumn was seen along with 2 Black-tailed Godwit and a Ruff.
Miscellaneous
At least 11 Little Egret remain and 3 Raven were logged.
