Offshore
Early morning highlights involved a singles of Great Northern Diver and Long-tailed Duck and 2 Shag. Also seen were 70 Eider, 30 Common Scoter, 6 Razorbill and 2 Red-throated Diver.
Diurnal Migration
A small skein of 15 Pink-footed Geese flew south.
Wildfowl and Waders
An impressive flock of 35000 Knot wheeled over the mudflats.
Miscellaneous
A pair of Raven were logged and a Merlin stalked a flock of 100 Goldfinch.
Cetaceans
Two Common Dolphin stranded on the western shore of the island became the unfortunate pawns in a media circus prior to being refloated and swimming off on the evening tide.
