First Brent Geese arrive

Offshore
The sea provided 7 Shag, 10 Common Scoter and 7 Razorbill.
Grounded Migrants
Grounded birds included: 50 Robin, 16 Goldcrest, 14 Stonechat, 8 Chiffchaff, 2 Whinchat, 2 Willow Warbler, 2 Wheatear, 2 White Wagtail and a Whitethroat.
Diurnal Migration
Variety was the order of the day with 1100 Meadow Pipit, 625 Pink-footed Geese, 200 Skylark, 105 Linnet, 70 Swallow, 40 Grey Wagtail, 28 Pied Wagtail, 4 Reed Bunting, 4 Sand Martin, 3 Chaffinch, 3 Rook, 2 Buzzard and a late Swift logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
The first Brent Geese have returned with 19 pale-bellied birds logged. Waders included 6000 Oystercatcher, 1000 Redshank, 300 Turnstone, 18 Greenshank and a Black-tailed Godwit.
Miscellaneous
A Merlin and 2 Raven were the best of the rest
