Curlew Sandpipers and Short-eared Owl

Grounded Migrants
Only small numbers of grounded birds were logged involving 4 White Wagtail, 3 Wheatear, 2 Whitethroat and single Goldcrest, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Whinchat.
Diurnal Migration
Only a light passage was evident including 10 Grey Wagtail, 9 Sand Martin, 4 Tree Pipit and 3 Siskin.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 7 Greenshank, 6 Curlew Sandpiper (all juveniles) and a Whimbrel.
Miscellaneous
Single Short-eared Owl, Merlin and Peregrine were the best of the rest.
