Offshore
Highlights over the sea were 85 Common Scoter, 37 Shag, 22 Red-breasted Merganser, 8 Red-throated Diver and 2 Kittiwake.
Grounded Migrants
Single Mistle Thrush and Goldcrest were logged, however the highlight was 5 Water Pipit amongst 70 Skylark, 48 Meadow Pipit and 24 Rock Pipit in the waterlogged fields around Biggar.
Wildfowl and Waders
Wildfowl included 1244 Wigeon, 1003 Teal, 526 light-bellied Brent Goose, 475 Shelduck, 159 Pintail and 7 Shoveler. Waders included 5012 Oystercatcher, 1327 Redshank, 971 Dunlin, 800 Golden Plover, 854 Lapwing, 779 Curlew, 277 Turnstone, 215 Grey Plover, 169 Sanderling, 135 Ringed Plover, 88 Snipe, 56 Bar-tailed Godwit, 13 Greenshank, 2 Purple Sandpiper and a Jack Snipe.
Miscellaneous
The long-staying Hooded Crow and a Buzzard were seen and 46 Little Egret, 2 Raven and 2 Water Rail were the best of the rest.
