Yellow-browed Warbler remains

12th October 2016 –sunny spells then showers NE1/2/3
The Yellow-browed Warbler remained in scrub between the bowling green and pumping station in Vickerstown Park.
Grounded Migrants
Quiet again with just 10 Redwing, 10 Goldcrest, 5 Chiffchaff and 2 Fieldfare logged. However a Treecreeper was unusual.
Diurnal Migration
Again little evidence of movement with 7 Brambling, 2 Rock Pipit and single Siskin, Lesser Redpoll and Grey Wagtail the highlights of a meagre passage.
The first Twite have returned with 9 birds recorded and a Water Rail was the best of the rest.
