Hudsonian Whimbrel back where it all began

Rarities
The Hudsonian Whimbrel was again present, the bird was located on the salt marsh in front of the old tip gates over the high tide.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 500 Redshank, 12 Greenshank, 10 Whimbrel, 2 Common Sandpiper and a single Spotted Redshank.
Miscellaneous
At least 2 Little Egret stalked the tidal pools at low tide.
Butterflies
A transect count produced 35 Small White, 28 Peacock, 27 Meadow Brown, 22 Small Tortoiseshell, 3 Green-veined White, 3 Red Admiral, 2 Large White, 2 Wall Brown and single Gatekeeper, Common Blue and Small Copper.
