Fall conditions produce the first Cuckoo, Whinchat and Garden Warbler

Casual observations produced 60 Sandwich Tern, 25 Common Scoter and a Guillemot.
Diurnal Migration
With efforts concentrated on the land overhead records were somewhat neglected although 50 Swallow, 10 Sand Martin, 4 White Wagtail and a Siskin were logged.
Grounded Migrants
Early morning mist and drizzle conspired to create the second major fall of the spring, new arrivals included: 260 Willow Warbler, 70 Wheatear, 50 Blackcap, 21 Whitethroat, 19 Sedge Warbler, 7 Redstart, 7 Stonechat, 7 Robin, 7 Chiffchaff, 5 Goldcrest, 4 Grasshopper Warbler, 3 Garden Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat and single Fieldfare, Redwing, Cuckoo, Tree Pipit, and Whinchat.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 2000 Knot, 100 Golden Plover, 36 Whimbrel, 17 Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Common Sandpiper.
