10th September 2008 - sunny spells S3
Offshore
Observations (0745-0915 & 1000-1100) were dominated by a total of 1840 Manx Shearwaters with birds passing at a rate of 1600 birds/hour in the first hour. Also seen were totals of 55 Common Scoter, 45 Gannet, 32 Kittiwake, 20 Sandwich Tern, 3 Arctic Tern, 3 Shag, 3 Razorbill, 2 Guillemot and single Fulmar and Red-breasted Merganser.
Grounded Migrants
Little to report with just 3 Goldcrest and a Chiffchaff logged.
Miscellaneous
At least 10 Little Egret remain.
