Great Northern Diver and Water Pipit

Rarities
Five Water Pipit were again present over the tide, however the birds are mobile and today were favouring the flooded fields and horse paddocks in the vicinity of Biggar.
Offshore
Morning observations on the rising tide (0730-0830 & 0930-1100) saw plenty of activity offshore, sightings were led by a Great Northern Diver with a supporting cast of 328 Kittiwake, 235 Razorbill, 55 Gannet, 44 Red-throated Diver, 40 Guillemot, 28 Sandwich Tern, 14 Common Scoter and 10 Red-breasted Merganser.
Grounded Migrants
Three Wheatear were seen.
Diurnal Migration
A flock of 6 Whooper Swan flew through.
Wildfowl and Waders
The pair of Gadwall still linger.
Miscellaneous
At least 4 Little Egret continue to haunt the salt marshes along the eastern shore.
