Curlew Sandpipers increase

Grounded Migrants
Although 60 Meadow Pipit were present sightings were otherwise thin on the ground with just 2 Wheatear, 2 Whitethroat and single White Wagtail and Willow Warbler logged.

Diurnal Migration
An Osprey flew south down Walney Channel through the morning.
Wildfowl and Waders
Six Shoveler remained amongst 170 Teal and waders 5 juvenile Curlew Sandpiper and 2 Ruff.
Miscellaneous
A further increase in the number of Little Egret around the island was noted with at least 27 birds seen including several colour-ringed individuals.
