Offshore
Morning observations on the rising tide (0800-0900) produced 180 Common Scoter, 134 Razorbill, 20 Gannet, 4 Red-throated Diver, 4 Kittiwake, 2 Sandwich Tern and 2 Shag.
Grounded Migrants
Remaining sparse with just 5 Goldcrest and a Chiffchaff logged.
Diurnal Migration
A small flock of 11 Barnacle Geese headed north – presumably en route to their wintering grounds on the Solway.
Wildfowl and Waders
The wintering flock of pale-bellied Brent Geese begins to build with 40 birds recorded.
Miscellaneous
At least 11 Little Egret remain and other sightings included Great Spotted Woodpecker, Merlin, Peregrine and Little Owl.
