Rarities
The adult Black Brant was again in Walney Channel just south of Jubilee Bridge at low tide amongst 82 pale-bellied Brent Geese.
Offshore
An early morning check of the sea (0730-0830) produced 35 Red-breasted Merganser, 15 Red-throated Diver, 9 Common Scoter and 2 Gannet.
Wildfowl and Waders
The 5 Scaup (2 males & 3 females) remain amongst 16 Goldeneye. Waders included 2 Greenshank and 2 Black-tailed Godwit.
Miscellaneous
Merlin and Barn Owl were the best of the rest.
