Offshore
The early morning check of the sea (0600-0800) produced 545 Manx Shearwater, 260 Common Scoter, 57 Gannet, 31 Sandwich Tern and a first-summer Mediterranean Gull.
Grounded Migrants
Willow Warbler continue to drift south with 3 birds seen.
Butterflies and Moths
The moth trap attracted 418 moths of 67 species overnight including 220 White-lined Dart, still the dominant species. Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing, Double Lobed, Twin-spot Carpet and Flounced Rustic were all new for the year.
