The first rule of seawatching on Walney Island is that little happens in persistent rain and this morning’s observations (0800-0900) did little to change that view with just 131 Common Scoter, 53 Sandwich Tern and 10 Gannet seen.
Diurnal Migration
A total of 24 Sand Martin moved through.
Wildfowl and Waders
The first Golden Plover have returned.
