Offshore
Observations over the sea (0730-0830) produced 130 Sandwich Tern, 87 Common Scoter, 24 Manx Shearwater, 20 Razorbill, 12 Gannet and 8 Red-throated Diver.
Grounded Migrants
Two Goldcrest and single Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff were all that could be mustered.
Wildfowl and Waders
The Brent Goose flock held 140 pale-bellied birds and waders included 2000 Knot, 1500 Dunlin and 1200 Golden Plover.
Miscellaneous
The long-staying Hooded Crow continues to be recorded.

Observations over the sea (0730-0930) produced 270 Sandwich Tern, 147 Common Scoter, 80 Kittiwake, 71 Manx Shearwater, 60 Razorbill, 15 Red-throated Diver, 15 Guillemot, 3 Fulmar, 2 Puffin and single Great Skua and Long-tailed Duck.
Grounded Migrants
A single Wheatear were all that could be mustered.
Wildfowl and Waders
The Brent Goose flock held 204 pale-bellied birds and waders included 4000 Knot and 80 Golden Plover.
Miscellaneous
The long-staying Hooded Crow continues to be recorded.

An early morning check of the sea revealed 1000 Eider, 70 Sandwich Tern, 10 Red-throated Diver, 9 Gannet, 7 Common Scoter, 4 Shag and 2 Red-breasted Merganser.
Grounded Migrants
The clear skies were again unconducive to providing many grounded birds with just 2 White Wagtail and single Wheatear, Chiffchaff, Redwing and Long-tailed Tit logged.
Diurnal Migration
A Red Kite was over the island at 1400hrs and additional sightings involved 3 Swallow and single Siskin and Sand Martin.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 5000 Knot and a Ruff.
Miscellaneous
The long-staying Hooded Crow put in an appearance and a Water Rail was the best of the rest.

Grounded Migrants
Conditions were not conducive to provide grounded birds and consequently sightings were limited to 4 Wheatear and a Chiffchaff.
Diurnal Migration
Sightings included 40 Pink-footed Goose, 40 Meadow Pipit, 2 Siskin and a Rook.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 3 Greenshank and a Shoveler was the pick of the wildfowl.
Miscellaneous
A flock of 60 Twite were logged.
