Pink-footed Geese and Whooper Swans

Please note that South Walney Nature Reserve is open though the hides and visitor centre remain closed, please remember the rule of six.
An early morning check of the sea (0715-0815) revealed 43 Sandwich Tern, 25 Common Scoter, 9 Red-throated Diver, 8 Gannet, 3 Razorbill and 2 Red-breasted Merganser.
Grounded Migrants
Limited to 2 Wheatear and 2 Goldcrest.
Diurnal Migration
Sightings included 82 Pink-footed Goose, 50 Meadow Pipit and 16 Whooper Swan.
Two Raven were the best of the rest.
Breeding Birds
Sand Martins are now present at breeding localities.
