Offshore
A day for checking the sea, extended observations (0730-0930 & 1000-1100) revealed totals of 227 Common Scoter, 212 Gannet, 67 Sandwich Tern, 35 Red-throated Diver, 34 Razorbill, 14 Red-breasted Merganser, 10 Guillemot, 10 Kittiwake, 3 Shag, 3 Fulmar, 2 Manx Shearwater and an Arctic Skua.
Grounded Migrants
Single Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Goldcrest were all that troubled the scorers.
Diurnal Migration
A few Meadow Pipit were coming in off the sea and a Sand Martin was seen.
Wildfowl and Waders
Two Black-tailed Godwit were recorded.
