Grounded Migrants
Limited to 13 Wheatear, 5 Willow Warbler and a Chiffchaff.
Wildfowl and Waders
Afew Teal and 2 Shoveler continue to linger and waders included 81 Whimbrel and a Greenshank.
Miscellaneous
The long-staying Hooded Crow remains in residence.
Ringing
A below par month saw just 266 birds of 19 species. Individual species totals were as follows (retraps in brackets): Willow Warbler 38, Blackcap 30, Chiffchaff 17, (1), Goldcrest 14 (2), Goldfinch 13 (71), Linnet 13 (14), Chaffinch 8 (1), Robin 3, Greenfinch 2 (7), Blackbird 2 (4), Dunnock 2 (4), Lesser Redpoll 2, Redstart 1, Great Tit 1, Woodpigeon 1 (1), Reed Bunting 1 (6), House Sparrow (4), Wren (2), Sparrowhawk (1).
