Great Northern Diver and record numbers of Little Egret

Offshore
Morning observations (0845-0945) provided 62 Razorbill, 43 Common Scoter, 10 Gannet and single Scaup, Red-throated Diver and Guillemot.
Diurnal Migration
A skein of 100 Pink-footed Geese battled south.
Miscellaneous
A record breaking 39 Little Egret were strewn along the eastern shore of the island with initial enquires suggesting that the colour-ringed birds originate from colonies in south-east England. A group of 16 Twite were seen.
Moths
The micro Caloptilia stigmatella and plume moth Emmelina monodactyla were new for the year and just the second island records.
