Good numbers of breeding warblers

Offshore
Early morning (0630-0730) produced 640 Guillemot, 85 Sandwich Tern, 48 Manx Shearwater, 20 Gannet, 16 Common Scoter, 13 Razorbill, 4 Puffin, 3 Kittiwake, 3 Red-throated Diver and a Fulmar.
Grounded Migrants
Two Spotted Flycatcher were the only migrant passerines logged.
Diurnal Migration
Four House Martin flew in off the sea.
Breeding Birds
Good numbers of warblers are breeding on the island with the following population estimates 105-115 pairs Sedge Warbler, 105-115 pairs Whitethroat, 55-60 pairs Willow Warbler, 30-35 pairs Blackcap, 25-30 pairs Lesser Whitethroat, 7-8 pairs Chiffchaff, 6-7 pairs Grasshopper Warbler and 5-6 pairs Reed Warbler.
