Offshore
Morning observations (0600-0800) provided 330 Manx Shearwater, 300 Sandwich Tern, 38 Gannet, 37 Common Scoter, 34 Guillemot, 4 Razorbill and 4 Kittiwake.
Wildfowl and Waders
The female Long-tailed Duck remains in residence and a Greenshank was the pick of the waders.
Miscellaneous
The tribe of 11 Raven are still in residence – now raiding the island’s refuse bins.
Butterflies and Moths
The moth trap attracted 325 moths of 49 species with Cinnabar and Treble Lines remaining the top species while Common Marbled Carpet, Nutmeg, Cabbage, Pale-shouldered Brocade, Small Magpie and Archer’s Dart were all new for the year.
