Puffin status review!

Offshore
Observations (1200-1300) produced 110 Sandwich Tern, 90 Common Scoter, 26 Guillemot, 17 Kittiwake, 14 Manx Shearwater, 8 Gannet, 6 Arctic Tern and a Puffin. The status of Puffin in the waters off Walney Island has changed dramatically in recent years, although just a single bird was seen today it has been a record year for sightings with 115 birds logged surpassing the then record 49 birds seen in 2018 when birds continued to be seen into June.
Grounded Migrants
A Spotted Flycatcher was the only migrant logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
Two Pink-footed Geese and the two Wigeon remain.
Butterflies and Moths
Middle-barred Minor was new for the year.
