Cetti’s Warbler reappears

Offshore
An early morning scan over the sea revealed 120 Sandwich Tern, 5 Common Scoter, 5 Shag and 3 Gannet.
Grounded Migrants
Although the Cetti’s Warbler surprisingly reappeared after three weeks, just 4 Goldcrest, 2 Whitethroat and 2 Wheatear were considered newly grounded birds.
Diurnal Migration
Another light movement produced 205 Swallow, 33 Pied Wagtail, 25 Meadow Pipit, 14 Grey Wagtail, 9 Tree Pipit, 2 Yellow Wagtail and 2 Siskin.
Wildfowl and Waders
A Shoveler was amongst 90 Teal and a Black-tailed Godwit was the pick of the waders.
Miscellaneous
Two Merlin and single Peregrine, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk were the best of the rest.
Butterflies and Moths
The moth trap held 59 moths of 28 species with Pinion-streaked Snout new for the year.
