Osprey and high numbers of Little Egret

Offshore
Early morning observations over the sea (0700-0800) produced 186 Sandwich Tern, 47 Gannet, 26 Common Scoter, 2 Red-throated Diver, 2 Guillemot and single Fulmar and Kittiwake.
Grounded Migrants
Just 4 Wheatear and 2 Goldcrest were the sum of newly grounded birds.
Diurnal Migration
A light movement produced 30 Swallow, 12 Tree Sparrow and single Stock Dove, Tree Pipit and House Martin.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 6000 Oystercatcher, 920 Redshank, 310 Turnstone, 200 Dunlin, 150 Ringed Plover and 23 Greenshank.
Miscellaneous
An Osprey fished the eastern shore at high tide and a total of 102 Little Egret were logged roosting over the tide. Merlin and Peregrine were the best of the rest.
