First Tree Pipits head south

Offshore
An early morning check of the sea (0630-0730) revealed just 100 Sandwich Tern, 75 Common Scoter, 7 Gannet and 2 Little Tern.
Grounded Migrants
A few grounded birds were again in evidence with 12 Willow Warbler, 2 Whitethroat and 2 Wheatear logged.
Diurnal Migration
A total of 7 Tree Pipit and 3 Sand Martin flew through.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included 6 Greenshank.
Miscellaneous
The Hooded Crow remains and Peregrine and Sparrowhawk were the best of the rest.
Butterflies and Moths
Butterflies were well represented with Common Blue, Holly Blue, Wall Brown, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Peacock, Red Admiral, Small White, Green-veined White, Large White and Small Tortoiseshell all logged.
Mammals
A pod of 10 Bottle-nosed Dolphin were offshore and 2 Red Foxes were seen.
