Grounded Migrants
A slight increase than of late with 5 Chiffchaff and a solitary Goldcrest - the latter just the fifth of the autumn! Finch flocks are now beginning to build with 80 Goldfinch and 100 Linnet logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
The small flock of pale-bellied Brent Geese increased to seven birds (all adults) and at least 17 Greenshank remain.
Miscellaneous
A Water Rail squealed and 7 Little Egret were seen. A couple of Barn Owl hunted over the island at dawn.
